This beloved tradition invites you to step inside some of Evanston’s most stunning and historically significant homes—each with a unique story to tell. These homes have been selected for their architectural significance, important histories, and stunning interiors.

From the beloved annual Mother’s Day House Walk to holiday celebrations plus the new reFashioning History fashion exhibition and design showcase, there’s something for everyone.

Chicagoland fashion designers and creators take inspiration from a curated selection of objects from our extensive, historically significant costume collection and create a new look of their own. Designers reveal their creations at an evening soiree and exhibition at the Evanston History Center.
