Evanston History Center hosts fun, engaging signature events throughout the year for people of all ages to connect as a community. From the beloved annual Mother’s Day House Walk to holiday celebrations plus the new reFashioning History fashion exhibition and design showcase, there’s something for everyone.

reFashioning History is back! Chicagoland fashion designers and creators will take inspiration from a curated selection of objects from our extensive, historically significant costume collection and create a new look of their own.
Winners will be presented with prizes as part of a fashion design showcase and juried competition.

This beloved tradition invites you to step inside some of Evanston’s most stunning and historically significant homes—each with a unique story to tell. These homes have been selected for their architectural significance, important histories, and stunning interiors.
