Latinos have been a part of Evanston’s community since at least 1885, yet this vibrant history is only now beginning to be collected and documented. This effort is led by local nonprofit <a href="https://evanstonlatinos.org/es/">Evanston Latinos</a>. Join us for the second gathering of<i> Nuestras Historias en Evanston</i> to learn more about Latino neighbors building home and community in Evanston. Guests include Paula Cofresi Silverstein, author of <i>Bomba Spirit: Life Journeys of a Brown Island Girl</i>, the leaders of <a href="https://www.puertaabiertapreschool.org/">Puerto Abierta Preschool,</a> and more. This event will be moderated by Evanston Latinos and will be conducted in English with Spanish translation available.
