Krista Fabian DeCastro
Krista Fabian DeCastro is a cultural manager specializing in creative partnerships, educational programming, and grantmaking in arts and culture. Prior to joining the Evanston History Center in 2024, she served as manager of artist engagement and programming at Creative Capital; as program director of Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center artist residency program; as manager and performing arts curator of the international programming department at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; and as manager of Africa Exchange, an initiative that supported collaborative exchanges between artists and scholars in the United States and Africa. She holds a BA from The New School, an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University, and has also attended the University of Ghana and the Central European University in Budapest. Krista is an avid traveler and founded her own company, Fortuna Redux Travel Experiences, which assists families in planning responsible international travel. She lives in Evanston with her family, where she enjoys swimming in Lake Michigan and serves on the Evanston Arts Council.
