reFashioning History is back!

Evanston History Center invited professional and non-professional designers from Chicagoland to take their inspiration from our extensive, historically significant costume collection and create a new look of their own.

Winning creations will be showcased on the evening of Thursday, September 18, 2025, beginning at 7:00 PM. Guests will be treated to a preview of the new fashion exhibition, followed by a fashion showcase that offers the opportunity to hear directly from featured designers about their processes and interpretations - all while enjoying music and elegant refreshments on the historic lakefront terrace and interior of the Dawes House.

Proceeds go towards supporting our mission and collections care.
