Sunday, March 16, 1-2pm
Free & Open to all. RSVP below.
In-person event
At the Evanston Art Center

In what ways is the photograph an objective or meaningful archival record? How has documenting community through photography changed? What does one look for and discover in historic photographs? Join us at the Picturing Community exhibition at the Evanston Art Center to explore the communal and historic meaning of photographs. Have some old photographs of your own? We’ll also provide tips to determine if the old photographs you may have at home could have historical significance, and instruct how you can share those with the Evanston History Center.
With:
Richard Cahan, photographer
Kris Hartzell, historian
Grace Lehner, archivist
