Come visit the EHC at the
National Historic Landmark Dawes House

House Tour Hours

Tours take place at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm Thursday through Sunday.

Take a docent-led tour of the house, view our permanent exhibit on Evanston history, and one of our many changing exhibits.

Admission: $10 (Children under 10 are free.)
EHC members: free (Membership sign-up is available at the door.)
No reservations are necessary. Tours runs approx. 45 minutes.
Every first Thursday of the month is free!

Admission to the Dawes House includes a tour of the historic home of former Vice President Charles Gates Dawes, entrance to the permanent exhibit on Evanston history, Milestones & Memories.

The interior of the house is only viewable by docent-led tour. The tour includes all of the first floor and part of the second floor.

Research Room Hours

Tuesdays — 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesdays — 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursdays — 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturdays — 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

$5 for general public; students and EHC members are free (membership sign-up available).
Photocopies, photograph reproductions and publication rights are available for additional fees.
